DPULZE Shopping Centre organized a Corporate Social Responsibility programme by hosting a Buka Puasa together with the old folks from Rumah Jagaan Orang Tua Al Ikhlas, located in Puchong recently. The home is located at a factory area in Pulau Meranti Puchong, houses 40 elderly, most of the old folks were bed-ridden and they were brought from hospitals and they have various health problems such as diabetes, stroke and kidney failure, and senility.
The staffs from DPULZE Shopping Centre visited the home at 5.30pm and started with meet and greet with the old folks. Apart from that, the company has arranged food catering and green packets in addition to a sumptuous buka puasa spread featuring favorite local dishes and to celebrate Ramadan with them.
The staffs joined them for Buka Puasa and the elderly were amused with the companion. At the end of the day, Mr KK Lim, the Senior General Manager distributed green packets to the elderly. The staffs also helping to giveaway goodies bag to the old folks. The elderly were overjoyed with the little surprises and started to feel the festive mood.
“We hope to share the love at this significant festive season to the Muslims elderly who does not have a family, it means a lot to them”, said Mr K K Lim, Senior General Manager of DPULZE Shopping Centre. The old folks were well taken care of and live like a family in the home. The administrator, named Puan Muji from Rumah Jagaan Orang Tua Al Ikhlas said: “We really appreciate the generosity of DPULZE Shopping Centre for doing such a good work and visit them for Buka Puasa”.
